Our clients, a thriving local engineering business based close to Havant, have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Internal Sales Coordinator to join their growing team. This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in sales and customer service, who is organised, can prioritise and work as part of a team and independently to support the Area Sales Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Administration: Provide proactive administrative support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle, ensuring timely customer follow up and consistent communication in line with agreed team processes.
- Quotation Management: Work collaboratively with the team to monitor outstanding quotations, drive timely follow ups, and gather any additional details required to complete quotes and tender submissions.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up to date CRM records by logging every interaction and scheduling appropriate follow-up activities to support efficient workflows and reliable reporting.
- New Business Support: Use the lead generation portal to identify new opportunities for the sales team. Partner with area sales managers and the marketing team to plan and execute proactive campaigns that drive new business enquiries. Coordinate customer appointments, promote the benefits of the business, schedule meetings, and prepare accompanying follow-up materials.
Skills & Experience
- Preferred but not essential: Previous sales experience within the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Appointment setting experience and diary management.
- Strong Customer Service experience.
- Ability to learn and respond to technical product information.
