Our engineering clients based close to Havant have an exciting opportunity for a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join their growing team! This role will require you to be a skilled sheet metal fabricator, carrying out all fabrication activities as required. You will ensure production targets are achieved via effective communication, motivation and discipline.
Key deliverables:
- To respect and adhere to our core values and rules of our organisation.
- Work with management and the wider team to implement the company’s policies and goals.
- To be able to read and understand blueprints, plans or engineering drawings.
- Set and operate all ancillary sheet metal machinery including saw, tube bend, drills, countersinking, tapping, spotweld etc.
- Set and operate press brakes and Trumpf 1000 punch press.
- Ensure that the production processes are cost effective and report time overruns.
- Promote the company’s Brand Promise.
- Ensure our quality standards are being maintained in conjunction with the Quality Manager.
Core responsibilities:
- Ensure work centres are operating efficiently.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are being followed.
- Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed.
- Assist in the development of ideas to reduce waste and increase efficiency through continual improvement.
- Manufacture jigs and fixtures as required.
- Assist with training.
