We currently have a fantastic role for a Field Service Engineer to join a fantastic engineering company based in Ringwood. This role is designed as a development opportunity for a candidate wishing to progress their engineering career within a specialist technical environment. This will start with full training on-site in Ringwood working in the Test team providing hands-on experience with the testing and evaluation of their equipment. After training, the role will progress into a Field Service Engineer position, delivering installation, commissioning, training, maintenance, repairs and remote customer support for the site's product range in the UK and worldwide.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Training Period
- Develop your understanding of the site's equipment by learning to carry out functional product testing.
- Build competence in electrical diagnostics by learning to conduct fault finding on site, and under supervision at customer sites.
- Strengthen your practical engineering skills by performing electrical inspection and continuity checks prior to functional testing to confirm equipment readiness.
- Gain experience in product set up and calibration.
- After the training period, you will take on full Field Service Engineer duties, delivering installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs and remote customer support for the site's equipment.
- Demonstrate professionalism, technical competence, fairness and customer awareness in all interactions with end users and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the UK and USA to resolve customer issues, share knowledge and contribute to process improvements.
- Deliver remote and on-site service training or operational assistance to end users.
- Increase technical proficiency by completing relevant in person or online product training modules.
- Manage global travel arrangements and expenses.
