Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join a leading engineering company based in Andover. Introduction Due to company growth our client are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a small team of Engineers and Technicians and to manage and deliver new product development projects. This is an excellent opportunity within the organisation and will play a key role within the business. Responsibilities: * Leading a small team of Engineers and Technicians * To manage and deliver new product development projects * Take a hands-on approach to new product development activity, which when required may include electronics, firmware, software and mechanics. * Identify and implement design improvements to reduce product cost and / or improve product quality and performance * Create and maintain project documentation. * Technical support to customers Ideal Experience * 5+ years experience preferably within instrumentation, special purpose machinery, motion control or robotic systems. * Strong problem solving skills * Proven project delivery experience * Good attention to detail * HNC or higher qualification in Mechanical, Electronic Engineering or Computer Science. * Any experience within fibre testing or materials instrumentation would be an advantage. International travel 3-4 times per year will be required.
