We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join a friendly and busy on-site team for a treatment plant based in Fawley, Hampshire.
Responsibilities
- To provide E, C & I support across the site
- To conduct planned preventative maintenance in accordance with PPM schedule
- To perform all duties in accordance with documented work requirements, legislation and the company's policies and objectives, maintaining and improving performance in the areas of Safety, Quality and Environment
- To be responsible for ensuring that appropriate repair and maintenance requirements are identified and undertaken as necessary to maintain plant availability and improve efficiency
- Assist in detailed planning of and preparation for plant maintenance shut down periods
- Advise management of safety issues
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments for routine and defect maintenance tasks as required
- Recommend modifications or maintenance procedures that enhance the plant's performance
Ideal / Desirable Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in industrial environment, revolving around Electrical and/or C&I installation, testing, inspecting & calibration
- Enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to engineering problems
- PC literate, and capable of learning how to use new software systems
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A minimum of 18th edition or NVQ equivalent and experience of maintaining industrial installations and equipment
- Good knowledge of Instrumentation & process controls including PLCs
Desirable Skills
- COMPEX 01 to 04 preferable but not essential as training will be given to the right candidate
- Experience with working in a Hazardous Area Environment
- Waste management experience
- Continuous processing Plant experience
- Recognised Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent
Salary & Benefits
- Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 (including bonuses)
- Hours: Day Shift Monday to Friday
