We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join a friendly and busy on-site team for a treatment plant based in Fawley, Hampshire.

Responsibilities

  • To provide E, C & I support across the site
  • To conduct planned preventative maintenance in accordance with PPM schedule
  • To perform all duties in accordance with documented work requirements, legislation and the company's policies and objectives, maintaining and improving performance in the areas of Safety, Quality and Environment
  • To be responsible for ensuring that appropriate repair and maintenance requirements are identified and undertaken as necessary to maintain plant availability and improve efficiency
  • Assist in detailed planning of and preparation for plant maintenance shut down periods
  • Advise management of safety issues
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessments for routine and defect maintenance tasks as required
  • Recommend modifications or maintenance procedures that enhance the plant's performance

Ideal / Desirable Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in industrial environment, revolving around Electrical and/or C&I installation, testing, inspecting & calibration
  • Enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to engineering problems
  • PC literate, and capable of learning how to use new software systems
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A minimum of 18th edition or NVQ equivalent and experience of maintaining industrial installations and equipment
  • Good knowledge of Instrumentation & process controls including PLCs

Desirable Skills

  • COMPEX 01 to 04 preferable but not essential as training will be given to the right candidate
  • Experience with working in a Hazardous Area Environment
  • Waste management experience
  • Continuous processing Plant experience
  • Recognised Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent

Salary & Benefits
