As a CNC Machinist you must be able to programme, set & operate CNC lathes to produce precision components for a variety of industries. The successful candidate will be a fully skilled engineer with CNC experience with the ability to programme, set and operate and ideally have CAD/CAM programming experience. Star or Citizen Sliding Head and Fanuc experience is necessary for the role.
Job Requirements:
- To produce accurate, high-quality components.
- Plan the production method, create programmes, and identify any tooling or fixture requirements.
- Undertake any off set or minor changes to programmes to produce quality components to drawing limits/customer requirements.
- Have a good understanding of Engineering drawings.
- Have experience in machining various metals.
- Be confident in working to tight tolerances and checking your own work during production batch runs.
- Adhere to production schedules.
- Able to program and set machine within allocated times.
- Adhere ISO9001:2015 quality standard requirements.
- Able to create entire new programs to customer's drawing requirements.
- Able to program and set effectively to optimize cycle times.
Hours of work: 7.30am – 4pm Monday to Thursday 30 minutes lunch 11.45am – 12.15pm 7.30am – 11.45am Friday
Holiday Entitlement: 25 days holiday per year (prorated in the first year based on start date) plus Bank Holidays
Employers Pension Contribution: 3% of basic pay (after initial probation period)
