Our clients are looking for an Installer with experience in construction or a similar environment to support installation teams working on various sites, around the UK. We are seeking candidates based close to Chesterfield and surrounding areas, and happy to travel.
This role suits someone with basic experience in installation who is keen to learn and progress. Flexibility is essential, as the position requires both day and night shifts and often overnight stays (accommodation & expenses provided).
Key Responsibilities:- Working as part of a small team Installing and Commissioning company products
- Supporting the Senior Installer
- Troubleshooting
- Finding workarounds/solutions to daily issues whilst on site
- Liaising with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
- Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
- Support the continuous development of the Quality Management System adopting improvements to continuously improve the customers experience
- To ensure PPE is adequate for the H&S purpose and arrange for new kit to be ordered when required
- Undertake product training on all company systems (via the technical department)
- Undertake training on BS8524 and other relevant standards (via the technical department)
You must be flexible and willing to work at various locations and at height. There will be a requirement to work some weekends and out of hours, and you will be required to stay away overnight on occasions (accommodation provided).
Required skills & Experience:- Basic experience in installation, construction, electrical, or mechanical work
- Familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical principles
- Ability to read and follow drawings, instructions, and risk assessments
- Team player with a proactive attitude and good communication skills
- CSCS card (essential)
- Full UK driving license (essential)
- Above statutory holiday allowance plus able to buy additional holiday
