Latitude is recruiting a UK and EU online safety lawyer for a secondment with its client, a premier digital entertainment and gaming company. The attorney will serve as lead legal advisor for EU and UK online safety laws, including the EU Digital Services Act and the UK Online Safety Act.

Responsibilities

  • Advise the business on regulatory compliance requirements, mandatory risk assessments, and reporting obligations.
  • Lead and support engagement with state regulators, including Ofcom.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risk and directly advise senior stakeholders in online safety and direct-to-consumer teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of online safety regulatory and/or product counseling experience, ideally involving online gaming and communication.
  • Strong experience advising on EU and UK online safety laws including the EU Digital Services Act and the UK Online Safety Act.
  • Familiarity with Ofcom and other UK and EU regulators.
  • Experience at a Global 200 law firm or Global Fortune 500 company preferred.
  • Licensed and in good standing in the UK or an EU jurisdiction.
  • Outstanding references.

  • Location: Hybrid (1 day a week in London, 4 days remote; strong remote candidates will be considered)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: The annualized pay for this contract position ranges from $150,000 to $300,000 on a full-time basis. Pay is based on factors including experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
