The Latin American Community Association of Edinburgh (LACAE) is a community‑led organisation celebrating Latin American culture while building connection, inclusion, and belonging in Edinburgh. Through cultural events, workshops, festivals, and our House of Culture, we bring people together across communities to share art, music, food, storytelling, and lived experiences. We work closely with migrant and refugee communities, local partners, artists, families, and organisations across the city. Although we are a Latin American association, our team is international and diverse, made up of people from many backgrounds who share a shared interest in culture, creativity, and community impact. Everyone is welcome; curiosity, openness, and a love for community are what matter most.
What you’ll help with:
- Supporting small‑scale fundraising ideas, campaigns, and events
- Assisting with researching funding opportunities and identifying suitable grants
- Helping to draft or contribute to grant applications and funding proposals
- Supporting sponsorship outreach and building community partnerships
- Assisting with fundraising activities linked to events and workshops
- Contributing ideas for sustainable income and long‑term growth
