Overview
In this role you will lead strategic media relations for Latham & Watkins from the London office, advancing the firm’s business goals through proactive campaigns and high-impact profiling of the firm, practices, and attorneys. You will collaborate with journalists, draft messaging and communications materials, and leverage thought leadership to enhance the firm’s reputation. This hybrid, cross-functional position focuses on shaping narratives for a global audience and strengthening media relationships.

Responsibilities
- Manage proactive press outreach and reactive media monitoring
- Build and maintain relationships with legal/business journalists and outlets
- Lead profile-raising initiatives with strong messaging and creative writing (media kits, talking points, statements, press releases, submissions, surveys)
- Place byline articles and foster thought leadership opportunities for press commentary
- Contribute to social media programs to promote practice expertise
- Coordinate messaging across communications materials to ensure consistency
Key requirements
- Bachelor in Public Relations
- PR experience at a agency or in-house with emphasis on press office
- Experience in navigating a global environment, ideally with the legal industry
- Knowledge of core PR principles (media, digital, branding, market research, competitive intelligence)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the firm
