About The Role
The Pitch Consultant is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development team. This role will be responsible for working closely with Business Development (BD) teams and partners to develop and deliver high-quality proposal documents, while drafting, editing, and finalizing external-facing Business Development materials such as credentials statements, pitch documents, and response to RFPs. This role will be located in our London office and offered on a twelve-month fixed term contract. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Conduct information gathering sessions with relevant BD teams and partners to clarify requirements, client needs, and approach
- Lead kick-off meetings to establish messaging, milestones, and the core team
- Collaborate with BD teams, lawyers, and firm resources in gathering and compiling information for credentials statements, pitch documents, and responses to RFPs
- Analyse pitch request documents to elicit compliance requirements, instructions, and evaluation criteria; undertake other response management tasks
- Collaborate with other administrative functions within the firm, including Finance, Pricing, Compliance, and General Counsel’s office to ensure alignment
- Demonstrate knowledge of pitch processes and the ability to utilize pitch management tools
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and use critical and analytical thinking skills
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably
- Experience managing and leading strategic initiatives focused on credentials, proposals, tenders, or other written sales tools, and developing BD strategies and winning proposals
- Experience in a legal, financial services, or professional services environment (where applicable)
