About the Role
The Practice Support Analyst is an integral part of Latham’s Practice Support Services team.
This role will be responsible for providing a high level of support in the areas of litigation and transactional matters within the Technology department, while consulting and assisting attorneys, paralegals and staff with hardcopy and electronic discovery projects.
The role includes overall litigation services such as coordinating collections, productions, depositions, and trial presentations.
This role will be located in our London or Manchester office and may offer a flexible working schedule with hybrid and in‑office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact between the Practice Support Center team and the Practice Technology Consulting team to promote communication, design efficient workflows, and ensure projects are completed to specifications and standards.
- Work directly with the Forensic Analyst and/or vendors to ensure that client or firm data is collected in a manner conducive to processing; provide guidance for exceptions and non‑standard file types.
- Understand and follow current protocols and best practices in the areas of electronically stored information (ESI) processing, technology assisted review (TAR), and production; serve as an escalation point for ESI processing and ensure all jobs are conducted according to standard procedures.
- Provide training and support to attorneys, paralegals, staff, clients, and external users on document review databases and the firm’s practice support software and tools (e. g.
Relativity One, Nuix, Opus2, Everchron); support the development, implementation, and assessment of ongoing PSS training programs.
- Create quality control processes to deliver high quality work product and identify areas where escalation and/or new procedures are required.
- Possess strong understanding of e‑discovery and the e‑discovery reference model (EDRM).
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and proficiency with Relativity.
- Display strong project management and consulting skills, with an emphasis on directly supporting teams of attorneys and support staff.
- Have technical experience, preferably in a legal environment or at a vendor specializing in providing legal technology processing services.
- Hold an associate’s degree or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
