About The Role
The OGC Assistant - Conflicts Data is an integral part of Latham’s Office of the General Counsel (OGC) team. This role will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining data in the conflicts database, and supporting other department activities and responsibilities, while identifying and monitoring best practices and data consistency, and working with OGC leadership to develop best practices and protocols for conflict database interaction and management. This role will be located in our Manchester office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in‑office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Working with the Conflicts Data team, OGC leadership, and other senior stakeholders to ensure appropriate risk management procedures are in place and being followed
- Collaborating with the Conflicts team to ensure conflicts data is up-to-date, and continually working on the review process of how conflicts data is created
- Monitoring and managing required edits of conflicts data, as found through conflicts clearances and regular reports, in line with firm policy and procedure
- Working with OGC leaders to develop and prepare various reports relating to system data integrity and clean‑up
- Inputting and updating data into the conflicts database, including special notations, affiliates, portfolio companies, directorships, lateral data, and other data‑related projects relating to the database, matters, and parties outside the normal conflicts checking process
