About The Role

The Head of Client Events – EMEA is an integral part of Latham's Events team. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing event strategy and event execution for the EMEA region, and will work with key stakeholders to define event strategy that aligns with departmental and business development objectives. This role will be located in our London office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in‐office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Managing and coaching a team of event professionals, with responsibility for designing and delivering best‐in‐class events, while generating performance evaluations for direct reports and recommending bonuses and salary increases.
  • Proactively managing the entire lifecycle of large‐scale events, including defining event objectives, leading planning meetings, creating checklists, venue sourcing, hotel and vendor management, onsite and virtual platform management, attendee communication, registration site development and mobile app, entertainment, activities, dĆ©cor, transportation, data management, and post‐event analysis.
  • Designing, proposing, and delivering new concepts and unique events, while developing and refining event processes to maximise the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Driving initiatives to achieve maximum cost savings and deliver return on investment.
  • In collaboration with client events team members, ensuring the deployment and use of global processes and planning standards underpinned by event software such as Asana, Cvent, Peppermint, Foundation, SharePoint, etc.

  • Experience of managing a team and working collaboratively with others.
  • Relevant event experience, preferably within a professional or financial services environment.
  • Flexibility to embark on occasional travel across the region.
