About the Role

The Benefits & Well‑Being Specialist is an integral part of Latham’s Well‑Being & Benefits team. This role will be responsible for assisting the Well‑Being & Benefits department with a variety of specific benefits‑related tasks and projects to ensure the department’s services, goals, and objectives are met, while monitoring the department telephone line and e‑mail inbox to respond to benefits‑related questions from attorneys and staff. This role will be located in either our London or Manchester office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Acting as a point of contact for benefits questions from attorneys and staff in local offices, while educating participants by providing clear and complete information in accordance with group policy terms and conditions.
  • Processing enrolments, terminations, and qualified status changes (QSCs) for all health and welfare programmes, while communicating with new hires and individuals experiencing QSCs to ensure all enrolments and changes are completed within the appropriate time frame.
  • Advising supervisors or management of observed trends, unanswered requests, potential problems, or critical issues in order to troubleshoot areas of concern before they interfere with benefits administration.
  • Establishing direct liaison with insurance carriers by handling the day‑to‑day administration of group plans to ensure accurate and timely enrolment across all benefit coverage lines.
  • Promoting effective work practices by working collaboratively as a team member and demonstrating respect for colleagues.
