About the Role
The Structured Finance CLO Paralegal is an integral part of Latham’s Legal Professional and Paralegal team. This role will necessitate becoming a core member of the Latham Euro CLO team, sitting in the Structured Finance practice group, with responsibility for assisting partners, counsel and associates with European Collateralised Loan Obligations (“CLO”) transactions, including drafting and reviewing transaction documents and legal opinions, fielding requests from clients and transaction parties and supporting with the closing process. This role will be located in our London office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Preparing specified forms, letters, and other legal documents
- Obtaining documents and certificates from relevant authorities
- Conducting searches and creating reports in databases and other document repositories
- Proofreading and preparing documents for submission to courts or authorities
- Maintaining the integrity of case or transactional documents generated throughout the duration of a case or transaction
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Possess proficient knowledge of applications typically used in a legal office environment, including internet searching skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
- Exhibit well‑developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm
And have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or a paralegal certificate from an American Bar Association (ABA)‑approved programme
- Related law firm or title industry experience, preferably as a paralegal
