We are seeking a Knowledge Management Lawyer in our market-leading FinTech practice group in London. This is a client-facing role at the intersection of legal knowledge, policy, and innovation. A central part of the role involves horizon scanning across the legal, regulatory, and market landscape and translating developments into actionable insights for both the practice and our clients, liaising with industry associations and regulatory bodies to help shape the firms engagement on key regulatory developments. The role will also be instrumental in transforming the FinTech practice into an AI-first practice, championing the adoption of AI tools and innovative technology across all aspects of the team's work. The role will be located in our London office and may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. \Conducting horizon scanning across legal, regulatory, and market developments for the FinTech practice and informing attorneys and clients of important developments through curated client alerts, emails, bulletins, training, or other appropriate means, ensuring the firm's profile remains at the forefront of the FinTech market \n Driving the transformation of the FinTech practice into an AI-first practice by championing the adoption of AI tools and innovative technology, working closely with the wider Knowledge Management team, the Legal Innovation team, AI Services Attorneys, and other Technology & Information Services colleagues to embed these into the practice's workflows \n Liaising with industry associations and regulatory bodies, including reviewing and drafting responses to consultation papers and other policy initiatives, and helping to shape the firm's engagement on key regulatory developments \n Participating in external forums with members of the wider legal community and external service providers in order to keep abreast of regulatory and industry developments \n Drafting, maintaining, and curating knowledge resources and supporting substantive training efforts as needed for the practice \n Generally acting as a sounding board for ad hoc legal and technical queries from attorneys \n Interacting with Research Services, Business Development, Brand & Communications, and other administrative departments on a knowledgeable and professional level \Have strong client-facing skills and a genuine interest in understanding what clients need from a FinTech practice \n Demonstrate the ability to convey complex legal and regulatory concepts in plain English \n Are a self-starter, willing to take the initiative and able to perform responsibilities without close supervision \n Have a keen interest in the future of knowledge management and innovation \A Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent)\n A minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience as a qualified, practicing attorney in the FinTech practice in a leading international law firm \n The ability to work independently and deliver projects of significant complexity on a timely basis \Latham & Watkins has a well-established Knowledge Management program with defined career progression routes which recognize the experience our colleagues bring to their role.
