About the Role

The Benefits Assistant is an integral part of Latham’s Well‑Being & Benefits team. This role will be responsible for assisting the Well‑Being & Benefits department with a variety of responsibilities related to specific benefits tasks and projects to ensure the services, goals, and objectives of the department are met, as well as performing entry of benefits information into the Human Resources Information System, various Excel tracking spreadsheets, and other systems, while maintaining appropriate judgement and a high level of accuracy. This role will be located in either our Manchester or London office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in‑office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Reaching out to participants to collect missing information when deadlines are approaching, advising participants of approvals, denials, or requests for additional information, with respect to medical underwriting requirements, requesting required supporting documentation, and providing members with termination/leave notice, etc.
  • Preparing special reports and gathering and summarising data as requested.
  • Communicating enrolments, changes, and terminations with insurance carriers and brokers.
  • Utilising programmes such as Excel, Word, and/or Outlook to file and track department records and documentation as requested.
  • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co‑workers.

And have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably.
  • Relevant prior experience, preferably.
