The Associate Recruiting Senior Specialist is part of Latham’s Associate Recruiting team. This role will recruit lateral associates and deliver consistent practices and processes across our offices in Europe and the Middle East. It will oversee end-to-end candidate recruiting, manage search agency relationships, coordinate with internal teams, represent the firm at events, and ensure knowledge is up to date with employment laws and market trends. This role will be located in our London office and may be eligible for a flexible hybrid/in-office schedule.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with global and local recruiting teams to help build out the EME Recruiting Hub services, supporting the associate recruiting manager.
- Develop and implement strategic recruiting plans to attract lateral associates in alignment with the firm’s growth objectives.
- Lead all aspects of the end-to-end recruiting process, from vacancy approval through to offer negotiation and candidate onboarding for designated regional practice groups.
- Proactively source candidates in EME through various channels including direct outreach, referral campaigns, and by developing strategic partnerships with recruitment agencies.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitive intelligence in the legal industry across Europe and the Middle East; use insights to tailor messaging for each practice.
- Continuously improve lateral associate recruitment practices using data insights and recruiting expertise.
Qualifications
- Exhibit well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively at all levels and lead teams with a customer-service focus.
- Possess advanced organisational and analytical skills to manage time, priorities, deadlines, and supervise others to ensure compliance and accuracy, with the ability to solve complex problems independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office, applicant tracking systems, interview platforms, and other necessary software; ability to manage large projects and implement solutions.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience in legal or professional services recruitment
- Experience developing influential relationships with senior stakeholders and leading change management and transformation projects
- Experience delivering direct candidate sourcing strategies and driving innovation in lateral recruiting practices
