We are currently recruiting for a relief Class 2/Cat C Driver/Warehouse operative to join our established team based in Dudley. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with prior experience working as Class 2/Cat C Driver. They will have multi‑drop experience and have excellent customer service skills. Flexibility is essential and early morning starts will be required. A forklift/combi‑lift licence would be advantageous, but not essential. Experience working with timber and panels products is also preferable, but not essential. They must also be able to conduct manual handling work picking orders, though we do make use of mechanical plant where possible. Whilst experience of working with timber/panel products would be an advantage, it is not essential as training will be provided. Applications from enthusiastic individuals who are willing to learn are also welcomed.
Our Class 2/Cat C Drivers deliver many different types of timber products and deliveries will be a mixture of customer mechanical offload and manual driver offload. You must have no more than 6 points, no DD or CD, valid and up to date drivers CPC and digital card. A minimum of 2 years’ experience is preferable.
Key duties for our Warehouse Operatives are:
- Picking orders
- Goods inwards
- Loading of lorries
- Forklift operation
