Previous phlebotomy experience is essential.
You will need to have excellent communication skills with a natural aptitude for building relationships with patients and colleagues, empathy and a positive attitude.
Main duties of the job
- The purpose of the post is to assist the GP and nursing team in the delivery of a safe and high-quality primary care service for the practice population.
- The post holder will undertake delegated task and duties under direct or indirect supervision.
- The post holder will work within clear parameters and lines of accountability after appropriate training and assessment of competencies
- The post holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients only as the result of a direct referral from a GP or nurse practitioner.
