Employee Benefits Summary:
Benefits are available to full or part-time employees who work 20 hours or more per week in a regular position. Eligibility is generally the first day of the 3rd month of employment or at open enrollment in July. Details are provided through Supervisors, Human Resources, and the collective bargaining agreement. The benefits package is reviewed periodically and subject to change.
Accrues at the rate of five weeks a year and can be used for any personal time off including vacation time, sick leave, and holidays. After one year, it increases to six weeks, after three years to seven weeks, and after ten years to eight weeks. Time is prorated for part-time employees.
Accrues at the rate of one week a year and may be used starting on day one of an accident or in-patient hospitalization, or day six of an illness. Time is prorated for part-time employees.
In the amount of $10,000 is provided at no cost, as well as a matching amount for Accidental Death and Dismemberment. You will need only to complete a beneficiary form.
Coverage is provided at no cost. It allows an employee to apply for up to 60% of basic monthly earnings after three months of disability.
The agency offers 3 health insurance plans through Health Plans, Inc., which uses the Harvard Pilgrim provider network. You may select individual, one + one, or family coverage. The cost is shared by the staff member and the agency, based on the plan type, membership status, and number of hours worked. Employee premiums may be made on a pre-tax basis. Domestic partners may be eligible for coverage.
This benefit option allows you to elect life insurance coverage for yourself, your spouse, and your dependent children. During this one-time open enrollment, employees will have the opportunity to elect up to $100,000 of life insurance coverage without answering any medical questions. Coverage is affordable and flexible to fit your needs.
Benefitted Employees (20-40 hours), who are in good standing after 120 days, can annually apply for reimbursement up to $3000 per employee/family (prorated based on hours worked).
Allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars through payroll deduction for out-of-pocket medical and/or dependent care expenses.
The 403B is a voluntary plan available through Sentinel Benefits and Financial Group. The Agency provides up to a 5% match for eligible participants, with 100% vesting from day one.
Is available to staff who have worked with Latham Centers, Inc. for one year or more and are in a regular benefited position at the beginning and end of the course. Eligible employees may receive up to $1000 per fiscal year.
The plans provide valuable protection for the dental needs of both you and your family. You will have access to coverage within the MetLife national network of dental providers, which is one of the largest national networks available, as well as out-of-network coverage should you choose to use a non-participating provider. All preventive services are covered 100% with no deductible required. These plans offer extremely affordable discounted rates by virtue of being purchased through Latham Centers on a group basis.
The voluntary Vision benefits allow you and your family to access robust benefits through the VSP national network of providers. The plan includes benefits for annual eye exams, lenses, and frames and offers great value-added features including discounts for lens enhancements, additional glasses, sunglasses, and laser vision correction.
This plan is designed to replace a portion of your weekly income if you are disabled and cannot work due to a covered accident or illness. STD benefits can last up to 13 weeks and you can choose a benefit that fits your needs.
