37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am–4:30 pm

Latham & Bond HR are recruiting for our client, who is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their busy finance team. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time, and supporting the wider finance function with month-end activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and post supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and approval.
• Manage the accounts payable inbox and handle supplier queries promptly.
• Prepare and process weekly and monthly supplier payment runs.
• Complete supplier statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain the aged creditors report and ensure balances are accurate.
• Reconcile accounts payable and control accounts to the general ledger.
• Process and reconcile company credit card and employee expense claims.
• Support the month-end process, including accruals and prepayments.
• Assist with internal and external audit preparation.
• Perform other finance and administrative duties as required.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance role.
• Working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive supplier relationships.
• Effective time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
