Latham & Bond HR is recruiting for our client, a leading organization in the FMCG sector, to fill the position of Learning and Development Manager. This key role is central to the business's objectives for attracting, retaining, and developing talent, supporting both individual and organizational growth through strategic Learning and Development (L&D) initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a learning and development strategy and policy that aligns with business goals.
- Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring alignment with global training programs and the completion of UK-specific initiatives.
- Conduct skills gap analyses and create tailored development plans to meet business needs, including the integration of new systems or equipment.
- Collaborate with department managers to implement Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and monitor employee development.
- Promote Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives through L&D programs and enhance onboarding processes for new hires.
- Establish partnerships with educational institutions to support work experience, apprenticeships, internships, and graduate programs.
- Evaluate and report on the impact of L&D activities while continuously improving training methods and documentation.
- Manage training records to support compliance with audit requirements.
- Source and maintain relationships with external training providers, negotiating terms as necessary.
- Provide support for HR projects and succession planning initiatives.
- Proven experience in a similar L&D role, ideally within the FMCG sector.
- CIPD Level 5 in Learning and Development or an equivalent qualification.
- Proficient in LMS systems (e.g., Cornerstone) and SCORM, with strong MS Office skills.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to effectively manage budgets, training costs, and external relationships.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
