Latham & Bond HR are working with a values-led organisation based in Birmingham to appoint a newly created HR Manager role. With plans to scale from 50 to 120 employees by 2028, the business is looking for a strategic and people-first HR professional to take full ownership of the function and shape a culture where people thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement HR strategy aligned with long-term business objectives
- Own the development and ongoing review of all HR policies and procedures
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on all HR matters, providing expert guidance and insight
- Lead on all performance and absence management processes
- Champion employee engagement and a people-first culture
- Serve as the first point of contact for all employee relations issues
- Oversee diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
- Deliver strategic projects including accreditations such as Investors in People, ISO9001 and B-Corp
Skills and Attributes:
- CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Mental Health Practitioner qualification or demonstrable experience in employee well-being
- Proactive, people-focused, and strategic in outlook
- Strong knowledge of HR best practice, employment law, and engagement frameworks
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the HR function
