Sales Administrator – 3-month fixed contract, Daventry
Hours: Mon – Fri 8:30am – 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch and work from home every Friday.
Job Purpose
To deliver exceptional customer service to a variety of internal and external clients. This role is part of a small, collaborative sales team where supporting others and achieving shared goals is key. The position involves regular interaction with contractors and suppliers, managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines, and confidently using Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Process sales and purchase orders in line with company procedures, coordinating with Credit Control as necessary.
- Organise direct deliveries, liaising with both suppliers and customers.
- Allocate daily orders against stock to facilitate invoice generation.
- Process and post customer invoices daily.
- Respond to enquiries via telephone and email from contractors, suppliers, and the external sales team.
- Produce quotations for contractors, adhering to pricing guidelines and margin expectations.
- Maintain accurate project information from the company database and ensure clear communication with the external sales team.
- Check and authorise purchase invoices.
- Resolve customer invoice queries, contra‑charges, and credit requests in coordination with Credit Control.
- Carry out administrative duties including logging design requests and distributing drawings to clients/contractors.
- Organise contractor collections and issue credits.
- Inform contractors of upcoming deliveries.
