SQL Data Manager required to work near Clapham Junction (London). Please note: This is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm office based (no Hybrid or Remote Working) and near to Clapham Junction.

As part of the client's safeguarding policy, applicants will be required to undertake screening relevant to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. The role of the Data Manager is a key role providing high quality, accurate and comprehensive reporting along with a robust structure around data. The right person for this role will combine a meticulous approach to data checking and quality with an excellent understanding of the way that IT can underpin management decision making and processes. You will bring excellent skills in SQL Query writing, producing reports and report dashboards. Most importantly, the right candidate will work with the Head of IT to deliver a high standard of service and safeguarding for my client. You will be responsible for supporting mainly MS SQL databases, creating complex reports and publishing reports to the report server using SSIS, SSRS and Power BI along with other data tools.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Developing the Power BI deployment.
  • Undertaking a range of data-related projects, for example:
  • Extracting data and producing reports to specific requirements.
  • Creating reports and templates and publish on SQL report servers.
  • Producing real-time report dashboards.
  • Submitting the annual ISC & DFE census.
  • Creating Internal Programmes and Papers in iSAMS.
  • Overseeing and supporting the flow of data between EMA and iSAMS.

Qualifications and knowledge:

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Excellent knowledge of systems, software and languages including:
  • Web/application development.
  • Visual Studio 2019.
  • SQL database management, SSIS, SSR.
  • SQL query writing.
  • Microsoft Excel - Advanced Level.
  • Project management.
  • Coaching non-IT specialists.
  • Producing statistical reports.
  • Maintaining SQL Databases & SSIS Packages.
  • Power BI.
  • Managing MIS.
