Our client are looking for a Senior/Principal Ecologist to join their growing team across the South East, the Midlands and the North West. This position can be 100% remote and carries no managerial responsibility.

This role requires the candidate to demonstrate at least four or five years of experience across a broad range of surveys for habitats and protected species. Ideally the candidate will be a member of the CIEEM or RSB.

A comprehensive working knowledge of planning policy, best practice, and legislative drivers for ecological consultancy would also be a requirement.

Key Skills and Requirements.

  • Strong field ID across a range of species and habitats.
  • Class 2 Bat license is essential.
  • EPSL and especially BMCL writing would be highly desirable.
  • Application of Biodiversity Net Gain across both large and small scale projects.
  • Demonstrable and proven experience of QCing/coaching/mentoring junior staff.
