The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Ideally you will have Solar Farm experience but not essential, to work in my client's Southend Office with onsite visits too.

Job Purpose

You will help manage costs, prepare estimates, and ensure projects stay within budget. This role involves a mix of office-based tasks like cost analysis and report writing, as well as potential site visits for data collection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Management: Assisting in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and conducting cost analysis.
  • Tender and Contract Support: Helping with the preparation of tender documents, contracts, and bills of quantities.
  • Project Monitoring: Monitoring project costs, ensuring they remain within budget, and preparing reports.
  • Financial Reporting: Supporting the preparation of monthly cost/value reports and valuations.
  • Risk Management: Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of (ideally Solar Farms) however, construction processes, regulations, and different building contracts.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
  • Educational Background: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field required. You must be CIS registered too. Full driving licence and CSCS Card.

This contract will last 6 months + with the possibility of going permanent. Please send in your CV if you have the above skills, you drive and live close to Southend and you are prepared to travel site to site.
