Our team is growing, and we are excited to welcome a talented Associate Director to join us. The Associate Director, Heat will lead the development and implementation of Last Mile Asset Management’s (LMAM’s) heat asset adoption capability as well as LMAM’s asset management capability, playing a central part in delivering the company’s strategic objectives and supporting its growth ambitions. The role is responsible for driving business change and delivering meaningful improvements across asset compliance, performance, and customer service. It will support business development by building strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders, identifying solutions, and removing barriers to progress.

Your responsibilities as an Associate Director:
Strategic:- Contribute to LMAM’s overall business strategy and annual budget setting.
- Act as the primary advisor to the Board on all matters relating to LMAM heat assets.
- Develop and control budgets to manage resource and capacity.
- Evaluate and report on operational performance by ensuring key data and metrics are captured and analysed as required.
- Develop and implement a technical oversight regime that ensures that fit for purpose high quality heat assets are adopted and subsequently owned and managed by Last Mile Group.
- Proactively identify and mitigate areas of risk and/or inefficiency.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of future development strategy for heat networks growth.
- Develop, test and support the implementation of LMAM’s capability for adopting new heat assets covering aspects such as design, construction, commissioning and adoption.
- Develop, implement, and manage LMAM’s capability for asset operation and maintenance.
- Inspire, motivate, manage, and oversee team members to drive LMAM actions forward.
- Communicate LMAM’s objectives clearly throughout all Last Mile Group organisations.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
Experience & Qualifications:
Experience:- Construction or engineering background.
- Experience in a senior leadership position.
- Exceptional knowledge of core operational functions and principles.
- Proven ability to analyse, manage and improve existing operational processes and systems.
- Working knowledge of construction industry regulations and legislation.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering process change and of continuous improvement.
- Utilities experience, particularly with independent licensed utility operators, would be viewed positively.
- Highly numerate with experience of setting and owning budgets.
- An ambitious professional who is motivated to take ownership of tasks.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant subject, this is preferable but not essential.
