As a Site Manager working for UKPS (part of Last Mile), you will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager and play a pivotal role within the Operations team. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects within your region, managing the day-to-day operations of the multi-utility workforce to ensure efficiency and compliance at all levels. Leading a team of site-based Craft teams, you will deliver a programme of work, maintaining the highest standards in network construction while driving continuous improvements and efficiencies. Conduct monthly audits on operational teams to ensure high standards of work and equipment maintenance – conducting remedial action where required and closing out any corrective action in a timely manner. Ensure that the upcoming programme of work is adequately resourced, sites are pre-vetted, and materials are ordered and managed in line with requirements. Check content of work instructions to ensure works are viable and ensure correct materials will be available. Be the initial point of contact to craft teams for technical, material, and administrative matters. Support the scheduling team by reviewing the programme in advance and providing feedback to ensure teams are deployed in the most effective way. Experience / Knowledge: Previous experience of water/gas distribution networks. Experienced in managing multiple projects/teams across different locations. Experienced in dealing with internal and external site-based workforce. Ability to apply Company design/planning procedures and requirements. Organised, methodical approach to work with excellent time management skills. Be pragmatic and able to find solutions. Be committed to safety and compliance.
