As a Policy Manager within Regulatory Affairs, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering our regulatory policy and advocacy approach. You will keep a close watch on regulatory developments, assessing their impact and helping to influence outcomes that support Last Mile's position as a leading independent network owner in Great Britain. Working closely with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts, you will help define our advocacy position and ensure it is clearly reflected in our strategy. You will also oversee the policy development and consultation response process, as well as build effective relationships with regulators and industry groups to support and strengthen our voice in the sector.

Your responsibilities as a Policy Manager (Regulatory Affairs):
- Monitor regulatory change across relevant licences and industry codes, assessing impact and influencing outcomes through advocacy and consultation engagement.
- Identify and evaluate emerging regulatory developments across water, wastewater, electricity, gas and heat networks, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Lead policy research and manage the consultation response process, working with internal stakeholders to shape and promote Last Mile's position.
- Develop aligned advocacy positions and support the business by embedding processes that ensure compliance, manage risk and build understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of regulatory and policy frameworks within at least one of the gas, electricity, water, wastewater or heat network sectors.
- Good understanding of industry licensing, codes, price controls and regulatory programmes, with awareness of consumer supply policy desirable.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape policy and advocacy positions in line with business and regulatory objectives.
- Demonstrated experience managing and influencing a wide range of stakeholders, including senior external stakeholders and policy makers, to drive change.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook, with the ability to support wider business understanding of regulatory requirements.
