As a Mains and Service Layer Team Leader at UKPS (part of the Last Mile Group), youll play a vital role in ensuring Gas and Water networks are installed safely, professionally, and to the highest standards. Technical Excellence : Install, lay, and joint pipes to UKPS standards, ensuring compliance with operational procedures, method statements, and hygiene standards for mains water. Team Leadership & Oversight : Supervise personnel, subcontractors, and team operations to uphold high standards of safety, workmanship, and team performance. Project Coordination: Manage site administration, ensure proper use of tools and materials, oversee plant deliveries, and communicate project variations to the Project Manager. Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation to a high standard, and foster strong communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success. Experience / Knowledge: Minimum 3 years operational experience in the gas and water industry NJUG understanding Qualifications: Registered with Energy and Utility Skills Register (EUSR) for SHEA Water and Gas Registered with EUSR Water Hygiene Card NCO (water) Service Laying Level 2 NCO (water) Main-laying (up to and including 180mm) Level 2 CP Competent Person for SCMC work NCO (G) for mainlaying and/or servicelaying Level 2 Minimum 3 years operational experience in the gas and water industry SCO Core, RO, Permit to Work and GL/6 Update EUSR or ECS card Full UK driving licence First aid certification Have you got the drive to go to the Last Mile as a Mains and Service Layer Team Leader?
