As a Jointer's Mate at Last Mile, you'll support the Cable Jointer with tasks related to the construction and installation of Contestable Connections up to and including 33kV. It's a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the industry, with full training and development available to help you progress towards becoming an authorised Cable Jointer.

Your responsibilities as a Jointers Mate:

  • Review and understand all relevant paperwork before starting work, and complete daily site records accurately
  • Conduct site risk assessments and ensure all work meets Last Mile and DNO specifications
  • Promote a strong health, safety, and quality culture, reporting all accidents and incidents promptly
  • Use tools and equipment correctly, and ensure proper signage and barriers are in place when working on public highways in line with Chapter 8 NRSWA
  • Communicate any project variations to the Site or Project Manager and support effective on-site coordination

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Must be prepared to train as an LV Jointer
  • Full UK driving licence
