As a Runner, you will support our Operations Site Managers and site teams to deliver gas, water and electric utility network installations safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will visit sites to check readiness and materials, arrange collections and deliveries of pipe, cable and fittings, and provide practical support to our operational teams whenever needed. This role plays an important part in keeping our sites running smoothly. By completing inspections, sharing clear updates and making prompt deliveries, you will help the wider team plan work effectively and keep projects moving.

Your responsibilities as a Runner:

  • Visit sites to check readiness, access and materials so planned works can go ahead safely and smoothly.
  • Complete electronic site inspection forms and provide clear updates to Operations Site Managers and site teams.
  • Collect and deliver materials, equipment, pipe, cable, fittings and meters from suppliers, stores and sites as required.
  • Drive safely at all times, including supporting equipment exchanges and towing cable trailers, winches or mini excavators when needed.
  • Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues while supporting any reasonable duties requested by management.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Site experience would be beneficial
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Health & Safety qualification including Site Safety training IOSH, CDM, etc. (desirable)
  • SHEA in Gas/ Water/Electricity Networks (desirable)
