Our Hamilton, Glasgow team is growing, and we are excited to welcome a talented Supply Chain Specialist to join us. As a Supply Chain Specialist at Last Mile, you will play a vital part in ensuring our Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards are consistently met and continuously improved.
You will provide expert guidance and support across the organisation, helping us maintain full compliance with all relevant regulations and accreditations while striving to go beyond minimum requirements, with a strong focus on our supply chain management. Your contribution will be key to promoting a positive health and safety culture, embedding best practices, and supporting operational excellence throughout the business.

Your responsibilities as a Supply Chain Specialist:
- Manage HSEQ Compliance and Accreditation - Evaluate subcontractors for compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards. Maintain HSEQ information and complete sections of PQQs and accreditation submissions.
- Maintain Supplier and Subcontractor Information - Ensure approved subcontractor and supplier details are accurate and up to date, supporting alignment with Last Mile's HSEQ expectations.
- Liaise with Regulatory Bodies and External Organisations - Coordinate with regulatory bodies on invoices and certifications for ISO standards and other accreditations, ensuring timely payments.
- Support Audits and Continuous Improvement - Assist with internal audits, review findings, and contribute to initiatives that improve health and safety performance. Support safety meetings, briefings and campaigns.
- Develop and Maintain Policies and Systems - Help review and update health, safety and compliance policies and procedures. Support the maintenance of Integrated Management Systems and ISO certifications.
- Promote Health and Safety Culture - Deliver safety inductions and refresher training, stay informed on legislation, and work with teams to embed a positive safety culture across the business.
Experience / Knowledge:
- Previous experience in a health, safety and compliance role.
- Experienced contractor and supplier evaluation and management, internal auditing, and risk management techniques.
- Knowledge of current health, safety & environmental legislation, and its application within the utility industry.
Qualifications:
- Level 3 Health and Safety Qualification. (Level 6 qualification on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF)).
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001; ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 55001.
