As our Design team continues to grow, we are excited to welcome a skilled Design Engineer (Multi-Utility) to join us.
As a Design Engineer (Multi-Utility) at Energetics, you will be responsible for designing multi-utility networks across at least two of the following: Electric, Water, Gas, or Heat for a variety of developments, including housing, industrial, commercial, and multiple-occupancy projects. From quote acceptance through to design approval, you will take ownership of your projects, collaborate with internal teams and sales, and ensure every design is technically approved and commercially aligned.
While this role is based in Hamilton, Glasgow, we will also consider candidates from Warrington and surrounding areas.

Your responsibilities as a Design Engineer (Multi-Utility):
- Oversee a portfolio of multi-utility design projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, technical standards, and internal policies.
- Manage the full design lifecycle from quotation acceptance to final adoption, meeting key project milestones and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with Design Engineers and internal teams to ensure technical compliance and seamless project delivery.
- Act as a key liaison with developers, network operators, water companies, and other stakeholders to support project success.
- Monitor project scope, costs, and specifications, verifying contracts and highlighting variations in line with commercial procedures.
Experience / Knowledge:
- Experience of designing either single or multi-utility projects in a range of domestic, commercial and multiple-occupancy settings
- Experience of CMD regulations and ability to interpret and apply to design solutions
- Practical knowledge of relevant new roads and streetworks regulations
- Ability to effectively understand and interpret complex engineering drawings and appropriate commercial documentation
- Excellent IT literacy with the ability to use MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
Qualifications (desirable):
- Minimum of HNC in an Engineering related discipline
