Position Overview: Field Services Operator (Meter Reader) – Collect accurate meter readings using automated AMR systems and manual methods, investigate and report meter issues, maintain accurate operational records, and work independently across England and Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture meter readings using automated AMR systems and conduct manual readings when required.
- Identify, investigate, and report issues such as non‑connecting meters, anomalies, and faulty equipment, escalating when necessary.
- Complete meter‑related tasks including serial number checks, logging updates, and carrying out meter exchanges.
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and arrange maintenance for remote pressure and flow monitoring equipment, maintaining accurate operational records.
- Uphold Health & Safety standards by following all procedures, using appropriate PPE, and proactively reporting hazards, near misses, or incidents.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Basic mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.
