You’ll join our Production team, playing a key role in building, wiring and assembling advanced laser and robotic systems used by leading manufacturers worldwide. This is a hands‑on, practical role where you’ll contribute directly to the build of industrial equipment that enables life‑changing products. Your work will support the safe, reliable and high‑quality delivery of Laser Wire Solutions’ systems, ensuring customer specifications are met and projects are delivered on schedule.

Typical tasks include:

  • Building mechanical assemblies, sub‑assemblies and piece parts to agreed build schedules.
  • Assembling and wiring electrical control panels for industrial applications.
  • Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols independently.
  • Supporting machine builds from mechanical construction through to final integration.
  • Assisting with fault finding and troubleshooting during build and test phases.
  • Using essential software tools such as Excel and Factory Master for job tracking and documentation.
  • Working closely with Engineering, Production and other teams to improve build quality, efficiency and design robustness.
  • Some potential opportunities to work within Project group on Customisation projects and also within the Medical device section supporting Production runs.
  • Maintaining a safe, organised and well‑presented working environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering or technical discipline.
  • A practical, hands‑on individual who takes pride in building things properly.
  • A solid understanding of production environments and workshop processes.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow structured build instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Positive, reliable and proactive in approach.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge of laser and automation systems.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Able to thrive in a fast‑paced, delivery‑focused environment.
