Laser Vision Ltd delivers high-quality ophthalmic services to private patients, working closely with optometrists, GPs, the NHS, and other providers. Our Portsmouth site, Prema, also offers private orthopaedic, pain, dermatology, GP, and aesthetics services.
We are seeking an experienced Head of Clinical Services to provide leadership and oversight across all clinical services, including day-case theatre, laser suite, outpatients, and nursing teams. The role focuses on safe service delivery, strong clinical governance, and continuous improvement as services expand.
Key responsibilities:- Lead and support clinical teams across all services
- Oversee daily clinical operations and staffing rotas
- Ensure compliance with CQC, NICE, and internal policies
- Lead clinical governance, audit, safeguarding, and IPC
- Manage clinical resources, equipment, and budgets
- Support service development and quality improvement
- Registered Nurse (Adult / RGN) with a valid NMC PIN (or an Allied Health Professional with senior clinical management experience)
- Experience managing theatre, outpatient, or surgical services
- Strong leadership, governance, and organisational skills
- Desirable experience includes ophthalmology, day-case surgery, or service redesign.
