We are looking for someone who has good attention to detail and gets satisfaction from seeing the finished product that they have helped produce.
Company Background
LPE, the longest established Additive Manufacturing 3D Printing bureau in the UK and Ireland, is expanding. LPE offers a wide range of leading edge 3D Printing services in both plastic and metal, to produce a huge variety of parts for some of the most interesting companies in Europe. The customer base is diverse including Automotive, Aerospace, Space F1, Consumer Products, Medical and Film. The company is committed to significant internal capital spending as the market grows.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Finish parts and keep them within quality requirements using hand tools to sand/smooth and fettle.
- Inspect and measure finished products using measuring equipment, compare this with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
- Help identify potential problems for customers, e.g., assembly/fit issues.
- Participate in information sharing, team working and continuous improvement.
- Follow instructions as issued by the team leader.
- Complete daily paperwork to set standards.
- Other duties as required, maintain good housekeeping and 5S within the department.
Essential Requirements
- Good hand skills and fettling experience.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good internal customer focus.
- Good level of initiative and teamwork skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Working under instruction but without supervision.
