As a Product Designer at Laser Digital, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our external trading application into a best-in-industry platform. Your primary responsibility will be to redesign the initial version of the application, enhancing its usability, functionality, and overall user experience with high-quality, cutting-edge designs. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can balance user needs with business goals to deliver a product that stands out in the competitive trading market.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and feedback. Your designs will be informed by user research and usability testing, ensuring that every iteration meets the highest standards of excellence. You will create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with our brand and resonate with our users.
In addition to redesigning the external trading application, you will also take on the secondary responsibility of redesigning and supporting new features for our internal trading and operation applications. This involves enhancing the functionality and user experience of tools used by our internal teams, ensuring they are efficient, intuitive, and aligned with our overall product strategy.
You will stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking ways to innovate and improve our products. You will present your design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, effectively incorporating their feedback to refine and perfect the applications. Key responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and feedback.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with our brand and user needs.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and iterate on designs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure our trading application remains competitive.
- Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively.
- Liaising with external users, providing training and creating user documentation.
- Proven experience as a Product Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and projects.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in designing crypto trading systems is a plus, experience of non-crypto trading systems also considered.
- Experience with realtime/live updating financial systems.
