What we need!
Applications are invited for the position of Catering Assistant to join our friendly in-house Catering Team, starting in September 2026. Hours will be: 8 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. 30 hours a week during Term time, plus pre-confirmed inset days.
Duties include:
- Assisting in meal preparation
- Laying tables
- Clearing and cleaning up
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with HSS domestic and catering standards
Previous school experience, knowledge of H&S good practice in the kitchen and Food Hygiene Certificate (Basic) would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
We were judged as ‘good’ by Ofsted in all areas during inspection in November 2022 and 'outstanding' for Behaviour. We became an academy school in Nov 2016 and are the lead school in a 2-school multi academy trust. We also provide outreach support for primary schools within Stevenage, focusing on behaviour management support strategies.
