This position is based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
About the role As a Trainee Fumigation Technician, you’ll be working on specialist operations to treat and protect commodities from insect infestation.
That means getting hands-on in real environments, solving real problems, and learning a highly technical skillset that very few people have.
You’ll be part of a team that travels across East Anglia and the UK, carrying out fumigation work in a wide range of settings.
Some days you’ll be local, other days you’ll be travelling further afield or staying away overnight.
The work is physical, varied, and highly regulated.
It requires attention to detail, responsibility, and a strong safety mindset.

What you’ll be doing Assisting with fumigation treatments on a range of commodities Learning how to identify insect activity and understand infestation risks Supporting site set-up, preparation, and safety procedures Handling equipment and materials in line with strict compliance standards Travelling to sites across the region and occasionally further afield Working closely with experienced technicians to build your knowledge Communicating with customers professionally on-site Following detailed processes to ensure safe and effective treatments The person You don’t need previous experience, but you do need the right attitude.
