We are recruiting a full time Kennel Assistant to join an established team within a Kennels and Cattery based in Copdock, nr Ipswich. Easy access from both Ipswich and Colchester via the A12.
This position would suit an energetic and friendly person who has a passion for working with animals, ensuring the highest standard of animal welfare. The role will involve working within a busy team: walking, cleaning, feeding and providing a high level of care for our dogs and cats.
Requirements
- Must have a genuine passion for dogs and cats
- Experience in animal care / animal management is preferred (not essential)
- Being familiar with handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments
- Physically capable
- Team player - able to work effectively in a small team
- Strong work ethic - reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions where needed
- Willingness to roll sleeves up and get hands dirty!
Hours of work: split shifts Monday to Sunday (8am - 11am & 3pm - 6pm).
Salary dependent on experience. Car driver with own transport essential.
