The Opportunity

An international law firm is seeking a talented Real Estate Finance Associate (2-5 PQE) to join its highly regarded London Real Estate Finance team.

This is an opportunity to work on some of the most complex and high-profile real estate financing transactions in the market, advising leading banks, debt funds, alternative lenders, sponsors, and real estate investors.

The team is recognised for its strength across the full spectrum of real estate finance matters, with a strong pipeline of domestic and cross-border transactions across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising lenders, borrowers, sponsors, and investors on a broad range of real estate finance transactions.
  • Acting on acquisition, investment, development, and refinancing matters across multiple real estate asset classes.
  • Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documentation, intercreditor arrangements, and ancillary finance documents.
  • Working closely with colleagues across real estate, banking, restructuring, tax, and corporate teams on complex transactions.
  • Managing transaction processes and coordinating with clients, opposing counsel, and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and building strong client relationships.
  • Candidate Profile
  • England & Wales qualified solicitor with between 2 and 5 years' PQE.
  • Strong experience gained within a leading real estate finance practice at an international, US, Magic Circle, Silver Circle, or highly regarded national firm.
  • Experience advising on lender-side and/or borrower-side real estate finance transactions.
  • Strong technical drafting and transaction management skills.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a collaborative and fast-paced team environment.
