The Role
You will advise lenders and borrowers on UK and cross‑border finance transactions, working closely with partners and senior lawyers throughout the lifecycle of deals. The team structure supports hands‑on involvement from an early stage, with Associates expected to take ownership of discrete workstreams and build direct client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising financial institutions, alternative lenders, funds and corporate borrowers on a wide range of lending transactions
- Working across general corporate lending, acquisition finance and real estate finance matters
- Supporting project and infrastructure financings, including energy‑related transactions
- Assisting on venture debt and asset‑based finance mandates
- Involvement in cross‑border transactions requiring multi‑jurisdictional coordination
- Managing discrete aspects of transactions, including drafting, negotiation and coordination with counterparties
- Supporting partners with client relationships, business development initiatives and knowledge sharing
Required Qualifications
- UK (England & Wales) Qualified Solicitor
- 1 to 5 years' of solid post‑qualification experience gained within the banking and finance practice at a law firm
- Proven experience advising lenders and/or borrowers on complex financing arrangements
- Technically solid with a practical, commercial approach
- Comfortable taking responsibility for elements of transactions
- Interested in working across a broad range of finance products
