An international organization operating at the intersection of trading, logistics, and chemical supply chains is looking to appoint a REACH Specialist to support its compliance function across EMEA. This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who already has a solid grounding in REACH and CLP, and is looking to build on that experience within a more commercially integrated environment. Rather than sitting in a purely advisory capacity, the position offers direct involvement in how chemicals are sourced, moved, and traded across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with business units, logistics teams, and external partners to ensure that regulatory requirements are met in a practical and efficient way. This includes managing submissions, maintaining compliance systems, and providing guidance on new and existing products entering the market. The role also offers exposure beyond core REACH activities, covering a wider range of EU and UK chemical regulations. As such, it would suit someone looking to broaden their regulatory scope while taking on greater ownership and responsibility across a regional platform.
The Role
- Manage and support REACH and CLP compliance programmes across EMEA business units
- Prepare and maintain REACH registration dossiers (IUCLID)
- Author and review Safety Data Sheets (SDS / eSDS)
- Oversee CLP, PCN, and SCIP notifications
- Provide regulatory guidance to support import/export and product compliance decisions
- Deliver internal training and compliance workshops
- Support compliance across additional frameworks including BPR, RoHS, and PIC
- Assist with regulatory audits and inspections
Requirements
- 3 - 8 years' experience within REACH and CLP compliance
- Hands-on experience with IUCLID, SDS authoring, and regulatory submissions
- Background within chemicals, manufacturing, or trading/logistics environments
- Strong understanding of EU and/or UK chemical regulations
- Ability to apply regulation in a practical, commercial context
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
