A leading US law firm with a premier global finance and insurance practice is seeking a Structured Finance Associate to join its growing London team. The firm advises major insurers, reinsurers, investment managers, specialty lenders, private equity sponsors, and global financial institutions on sophisticated, cross-border structured finance and insurance-related transactions.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work on cutting-edge, high-value mandates within a market leading team. You will gain exposure to:

  • Advise on insurance-linked securities (ILS), including catastrophe bonds, sidecars, collateralised reinsurance structures, and ILWs.
  • Support insurers and reinsurers on capital optimisation and regulatory-driven financings, including funded/unfunded capital relief trades and risk-transfer transactions.
  • Assist with securitisation of insurance assets, embedded value monetisation, reinsurance financing structures, and long-term liability funding.
  • Draft and negotiate transaction documentation, including reinsurance agreements, trust documentation, offering materials, and financing instruments.
  • Provide cross-border regulatory support on Solvency II, risk-retention, and capital markets considerations relevant to insurance-linked transactions.

What We're Looking For

  • UK-qualified solicitor (England & Wales)
  • 3+ years' PQE gained within a leading US, Magic Circle, Silver Circle, or top international firm
  • Experience in insurance-linked finance, reinsurance-related capital markets, securitisation, or structured finance
  • Strong drafting skills and the ability to manage workstreams independently
  • A commercial mindset and the confidence to engage with sophisticated global clients
  • Interest in advising across both structured finance and insurance-driven capital markets work
