We are delighted to offer a University Year Placement within our Payroll Team, based at our Norwich office. This placement is ideal for students with a placement year planned between their 2nd and 3rd year of study, and will run during the 2026/2027 academic year. It provides a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional environment.
Qualifications:
- Ideally, you’ll be working towards a relevant degree or a professional qualification such as AAT.
- Grade 4-9 in Maths and English Language at GCSE or equivalent.
- Competent with using Microsoft packages, internet, email and computerised accounts packages.

Responsibilities:
- With support and training, assist in preparing basic payrolls from start to finish.
- Liaise with clients and HMRC to resolve queries, taking control of all regulatory submissions, deadlines and ensuring client expectations are met.
- Taking an interest in the client’s values and business needs to develop good working relationships.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently.
- Organise your workload, particularly in peak periods, ensuring deadlines are met and communicating with the team around you to ensure work flows smoothly.
Requirements:
This is for a full time (37.5 hours per week) year placement, with an anticipated start date in early September.
